DISD Play Day: walking away winners!

In classrooms and on playing fields, Denison ISD elementary youngsters make it a point to set high goals, work hard to achieve them, and build a firm foundation for future success.

Nowhere was this more evident than at the district’s 2022 Elementary Play Day, when students were once again able to gather with friends and families at Munson Stadium for a fun-filled day of fierce but friendly competition.

“For our DISD kids and families, this is one of many experiences that they’ll remember for years to come,” said Superintendent Dr. Henry Scott. “It’s so important for kids to learn to work hard and compete…but also to be good sports and respect one another. It gets really loud in Munson Stadium on Play Day, and that’s a good thing for everyone involved. Just knowing that parents, friends and teachers are supporting and cheering for our kids means so much to them. It’s a win-win experience for all of us.”
